The No. 9 Lindenwood men's lacrosse team (8-2, 8-2 GLVC) fell in its road matchup at No. 14 UIndy (8-2, 8-2 GLVC) by a score of from Indianapolis, Ind.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions found themselves down 5-0 after the first quarter, but the Lions battled back in the second period, scoring five of the games next eight goals to only trail 8-5 heading into halftime.
Carter Collins scored three times in the second frame, while dishing out an assist on a goal by
Alex Weis.
The Greyhounds scored the first three goals of the second half to extend their lead back up to six. Once again the Lions pushed back scoring three-straight time as they trailed 11-8 with 8:40 remaining. Lindenwood netted a late goal, but that's as close as it would get as it dropped the matchup 11-9. In the half, Lindenwood outshot Indianapolis 28-17, including 12-5 in the final quarter. Lindenwood scooped up 17 ground balls and forced nine Greyhound turnovers.
