The No. 11 Lindenwood men's lacrosse team (9-2, 9-2 GLVC) defeated No. 20 Rockhurst (8-4, 8-4 GLVC) by a final score of 14-6 on senior day from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions got off to a strong start, scoring seven of the games first eight goals to take a 7-1 lead into halftime. Lindenwood showed a balanced attack in the half, as seven players found the back of the net, led by
Rob Tucker who scored twice. In the half, the Lions outshot the Hawks 26-9, while scooping up 15 ground balls as a team and forcing nine Rockhurst turnovers.
Lindenwood outscored the Hawks 7-5 in the second half, including four times in the final quarter to help seal the victory. Tucker scored two more times in the half, helping him compile a game-high four goals. The Lions outshot Rockhurst 38-15 in the half, while scooping up 11 more ground balls during the second 30 minutes of play.
