MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood defense put together a strong half, holding off a strong McKendree attack that compiled 12 shots toward the Lindenwood net, with six being on frame, but
Sam Blazek made each stop. The Lions compiled two corners but were unable to find the back of the net in the first half, one that saw the game enter halftime 0-0.
Blazek continued her strong performance into the second half, making three saves across the second 45 minutes of play. Scoring chances were hard to come by for either team in the half, however as the game headed to overtime fir the second time in as many games tied 0-0.
In the pair of overtime periods, the Lions were able to put some pressure on the Bearcats, directing four shots toward the McKendree net. Lindenwood also generated the only corner of the overtime period, but neither team was able to find the back of the net, seeing the game reach its final result, a scoreless draw.
