The No. 1 Lindenwood women's lacrosse team (13-1, 7-0 GLVC) suffered its first defeat of the season to No. 2 UIndy (14-1, 6-1 GLVC) by a score of 12-9 in the GLVC Championship Tournament Finals on Sunday afternoon from Lebanon, Ill.

GAME OVERVIREW
Lindenwood trailed 4-1 with just over seven minutes left in the opening half before netting four of the next six goals in the game to cut the deficit to 6-5 entering halftime. The Lions showed a balanced attack as five different players found the back of the net. Both teams were evenly matched in the first half, as both teams compiled 10 shots on goal during the first 30 minutes of play. The Lions scooped up five ground balls in the half, while forcing five Greyhound turnovers.
UIndy scored the first four goals of the second half, extending its lead to 10-5. The Lions were able to pull within three with 8:21 remaining in the half, but that's as close as they would get, as they Greyhounds earned the 12-9 victory.
Carly Fedorowski scored a pair of goals in the half, finishing with a team-high three goals. In the half, the Lions compiled 11 shots and scooped up seven ground balls.
