The No. 13 Lindenwood baseball team (29-7, 25-7 GLVC) earned a pair of wins on Saturday to sweep the final series of the regular season over Missouri-St. Louis (12-27, 10-22 GLVC) at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo. Lindenwood won the first game 3-2, after closing out the weekend with a 15-1 victory in game two.
GAME ONE OVERVIEW
The Lions put together a two-out rally in the first inning, as
Beau Collier opened the scoring with an RBI single. Lindenwood took advantage of a fielding error by the Tritons to go up 2-0.
Niko Marshall tossed 5.0 quality innings for the Lions, as he registered five strikeouts and allowed just two earned runs.
Missouri-St. Louis tied the game in the top of the fifth inning, but
Mitchell Krebs was able to cross the plate in the bottom half before the final out was recorded.
Justin Taylor earned his fourth save of the season, after he shut down the Tritons for the final two innings to give Lindenwood the 3-2 win.

GAME TWO OVERVIEW
The Lions exploded for six runs in the second inning, as
Alex Canty tallied a sacrifice fly for the first run. Collier crossed the plate to double the lead, and
Will Lanxon drove in two runs on a single through the right side.
Kolby Schulte registered a sacrifice fly, as a double by
Jayce Maag capped off the scoring in the second frame to give the Lions a 6-0 lead. The Tritons got one run back in the top of the third, but Lindenwood pitchers surrendered just five hits in the second game.
Lanxon and Maag each had an RBI single in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 8-1. In the fifth inning, Lanxon added another RBI on a bases-loaded walk, before Schulte cleared the bases on a three-RBI double. The Lions scored three more runs in the sixth inning, and
Kyle Hentis registered three strikeouts on nine pitches to close out the regular season with a 15-1 win.
