The Lindenwood men's soccer team (0-2-0, 0-1-0 GLVC) dropped its GLVC opener by a score of 4-1 against Lewis (3-0-1, 1-0-0 GLVC) on Sunday afternoon from Romeoville, Ill.

MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lions found themselves in a 2-0 deficit early as the Flyers found the back of the net two times across the first 21 minutes of play. Lindenwood kept battling as the Lions outshot Lewis 4-3 in the opening half, while generating three corners to one for the Flyers.

Lewis would take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.

Lindenwood cut the deficit in half just two minutes into the second half from a free kick taken by Gabriel Herrera that trickled onto the foot of Santiago Rodriguez who found the back of the net.

The Flyers responded by regaining their two goal lead in the 62nd minute. Lewis expanded its lead to 4-1 eight minutes later.

That would be the final score of the game, as Lewis would pick up the 4-1 victory.
