The Lindenwood women's volleyball team (8-3, 3-0 GLVC) got off to a fast start against Truman State (2-11, 0-4 GLVC) on Tuesday, winning 3-0, for the team's fifth-straight win.
MATCH OVERVIEW
The match was thoroughly dominated by the Lions, as they registered a near 25-point advantage in the match against the Bulldogs. Lindenwood finished with 29 more kills, six more aces, 26 more assists, and 17 more digs in the battle of GLVC teams on Tuesday. As a unit, the Lions tallied a .376 hitting percentage, and limited the Bulldogs to a .110 attack clip.
Lindenwood jumped out to a 1-0 match lead with a 25-19 first set victory, registering 19 kills to the opposing team's seven kills. A 5-0 run gave the Lions a 9-3 lead early in the first set, highlighted by two kills from
Amber Schade and a kill by
Rebecca Janke. After the Bulldogs closed the gap to three points, 17-14, the Lions would respond with a 3-0 run to extend the lead to six.
The second set featured a 17-point margin in the Lions' win, which included a 7-0 run to push the Lindenwood lead to 19-6.
Nyah Wilson served seven-consecutive times in the run for the team, as Truman State had no answer for the Lions.
Madilyn Dement tallied three kills and a block for the squad in the second set.
A 25-14 win in the third set gave the Lions a 3-0 sweep in the match. In the team's last four matches, they have accrued three 3-0 sweeps, and are 12-2 in those four contests. Lindenwood notched a .419 hitting percentage in the third, their highest for any set, and held Truman State to a .167 attack percentage. Five of the team's eight wins this season have come in 3-0 sweep fashion.

MATCH LEADERS
- With a balanced offensive approach, Amber Schade paced the team with 13 kills.
- Mackenzi Sifuentes led all players with four aces.
- Allie Otten registered a match-best four blocks.
- Otten also led the squad with 35 assists, nearly tripling the opposition's leader in assists.
- Jessie Seidel (16) and Otten (15) posted the highest digs totals for Lindenwood.
