The Lindenwood women's basketball squad (7-5, 4-1 GLVC) dominated Quincy (5-10, 1-6 GLVC) by a final of 63-47 on Saturday in Quincy, Ill.

GAME OVERVIEW
The first quarter was off to a back-and-forth start, as Quncy held a 6-5 lead at the 7:43 mark, and neither team registered a point for the next three minutes. Lindenwood shared the ball to close out the quarter, as four different players tallied at least one point leading to a 15-11 lead at the end of the opening frame.

The Lions picked up the pace to start the second quarter, as a three pointer by
Devin Fuhring put Lindenwood in front 25-13 with 5:46 remaining. Not long after,
Emily Benzschawel extended the lead to 15 points to give Lindenwood a comfortable lead. The Lions closed out the half with a 33-19 lead after strong defensive play in the second quarter.

Lindenwood continued its frantic pace on offense in the second half, which started with three pointers by
Alana Striverson and
Julia Ruzevich in the first three minutes. The Lions broke the game wide open in the fourth quarter, after
Mary McGrath registered five pints in 30 seconds to make it a 17-point lead. Lindenwood kept its foot on the pedal, resulting in the 63-47 victory on the road.

Lindenwood shot just 35.5 percent from the field, but hit 11-of-13 from the charity stripe, and pulled down 44 rebounds to just 35 for Quincy. Ruzevich again posted a double-double, as she tallied 16 points and 16 rebounds. Fuhring scored 16 points of her own, and added a game-high three assists. Defensively, Lindenwood accumulated 11 steals and four blocks, which helped produce 14 points off of turnovers.
