The Lindenwood men's wrestling squad (0-1, 0-1 GLVC) lost 22-16 to UIndy (4-3, 1-0 GLVC) in a tightly-contested bout on Wednesday in Indianapolis, Ind.
OVERVIEW
Lindenwood started the night with four-straight victories, including a 12-4 major decision victory by
Isaac Jacquez to start the dual. No. 10
Tanner Hitchcock pulled out a 3-1 sudden victory, while No. 3
Colby Smith shut out his opponent for the 6-0 win.
Jack Tangen upset No. 9 Logan Bailey by a final of 4-2 to give Lindenwood a 13-0 lead.
The Greyhounds got on the board with a major decision in the 157-pound weight class, but No. 9
Nate Trepanier answered with a 6-1 decision over No. 12 Jack Eiteljorge. Lindenwood faced the strong part of the lineup in the later matches.
Elijah Mahan dropped his 174-pound bout by just two points to No. 1 Andrew Sams. UIndy gathered momentum and compiled 15 points in the final three matches to earn the 22-16 win over Lindenwood.
