The Lindenwood wrestling team (1-2) split is duals on Sunday, with a win over Ouachita Baptist by a final of 30-17, followed by a loss to McKendree 26-9 in St. Louis, Mo.
OVERVIEW
Lindenwood fell behind after the first match of the day to Ouachita Baptist, but immediately got those points back due to a forfeit at 133 pounds.
Colby Smith added six points to the team total after registering a pin in just 35 seconds. The Lions scored three points in each of the next three bouts, taking a commanding lead.
Kyle Dickhaus posted the second pin for the Lions at 184 pounds, while
Michael Kramer closed out the dual with a 3-1 decision.
In the second dual, McKendree took a lead after the first match, but the Lions battled back.
Tanner Hitchcock scored an 8-2 decision, while Smith handled his opponent with a 7-0 decision in back-to-back bouts.
Jack Tangen put the Lions up 9-3, but the Bearcats ran the table the rest of the way to a 26-9 win over Lindenwood.
