The Lindenwood men's wrestling team (2-2) shut out William Jewell (0-9) by a final of 56-0 on Wednesday night in St. Louis, Mo.
OVERVIEW
Lindenwood scored 12 quick points after the Cardinals took a forfeit in the first two matches.
Colby Smith was in a battle with his opponent at 141 pounds, but a pin at the 6:35 mark added six more points to the Lindenwood tally.
Jack Tangen followed with a quality 10-2 major decision, while
Anthony Michaels posted an 11-2 major decision.
After a forfeit in the next bout,
Brian Flanagan needed just 2:02 at 174 pounds to pin his counterpart. Another forfeit added to Lindenwood's total, while
Luke Dickhaus posted a pin at the 5:26 mark. Lindenwood closed out the night with a win by forfeit to claim the 56-point victory.
