The Lions remained atop the American Collegiate Hockey League (ACHA) Men's Division I Ranking for the seventh straight week, despite not playing a game since early December.
The top eight all remained unchanged from week to week, with Minot State claiming the No. 2 spot after beating No. 12 Jamestown in an outdoor game celebrating Hockey Day in North Dakota last Saturday. The Beavers then blanked Williston State College on Sunday to improve to 16-2-0. No. 3 Liberty and No. 8 Stony Brook University split a pair of games, giving the Flames 15-5-0 record. The University of Nevada – Las Vegas (UNLV) raised its mark to 20-3-0 with a sweep of No. 16 Arizona, and No. 5 Iowa State split a pair of games against No. 15 Ohio in a Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL) match-up.
Lindenwood is currently undefeated in ACHA play with a mark of 11-0-0, but has an overall record of 11-3-0, the only losses coming against top ranked NCAA teams. The Lions have had their last six games canceled or postponed, but they expect to return to home ice against the Ohio Bobcats January 28-29 for a CSCHL series. The puck drops at 7:10 p.m. Friday night and at 3:10 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
