The Lindenwood women's hockey team (5-19-0, 3-7-0 CHA) lost a heartbreaker on Saturday to Syracuse (11-9-5, 9-3-0) by a 4-3 margin in Syracuse, N.Y.

GAME OVERVIEW
Syracuse poured on 20 shots in the first period, but
Julia Maguire fought off all 20 to keep it a scoreless game after one frame.Â
Sierra Burt netted the first goal of the game at the 12:55 mark of the second period, as
Morgan Neitzke and
Brooke Pioske notched the assists. The Orange tied the game in the final minute, which created a 1-1 game heading in to the third period.

Rachel Goff quickly regained the lead with a shorthanded goal to start the period. Just as quickly, Syracuse tied the game at 2-2, as each team scored in the first two minutes of the final period. Syracuse took the lead a couple of minutes later, forcing the Lions to fight the momentum.Â
Sydney Rarick scored on the power play to tie the game at 3-3 with 11:17 to go in the game. The final goal came at the 13:49 mark, as Syracuse came out with the 4-3 victory.
