Adimey, Stitt Each Registered Two Points in Women's Hockey Tie

The Lindenwood women's hockey team (5-19-1, 3-7-1 CHA) played to a 3-3 tie against RIT (0-25-3, 0-11-2 CHA) on Friday night in Rochester, N.Y.
 
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions fell behind early as the Tigers put up a goal at the 3:12 mark to start the night.  Lindenwood piled on the shots in the opening period, and tied the game at 1-1 after Chloe Corbin scored with 12 seconds to go.
 
RIT took another lead halfway through the second period, as the shots were nearly even with the Lions holding a one-shot advantage.  Again, the Lions battled through the period and tied the game with less than two minutes to go on an unassisted-goal by Maddison Stitt.
 
The Lions had one of their better periods in the third frame, as they compiled 18 shots.  While on the power play, Jada Burke gave Lindenwood its first lead of the night, as Stitt and Casey Adimey each tallied their second point of the game with the assists.
 
No more than two minutes later, the Tigers tied the game on a shorthanded goal.  Lindenwood had two shots in the final minute, but the game went into overtime and ended in a 3-3 tie to open the weekend series.
