GAME OVERVIEW
The Falcons score two goals in the opening five minutes of the game to jump out to a quick 2-0 lead. The Lions got one back at the 13:25 mark of the period as Cade DeStefani carried the puck through the middle of the ice and found the back of the net for his first collegiate goal, which was assisted by Joe Prouty and Andy Willis. Lindenwood compiled nine shots in the first 20 minutes of play and trailed 2-1 at the break.

Lindenwood tied the game at the 2;49 mark of the second period thanks to Adam Conquest who wristed one past the Falcons netminder, making the score 2-2. Caige Sterzer and Aiden Yakimchuk picked up helpers on the score. Air Force regained the lead just before the halfway mark of the period, taking a 3-2 lead. Shortly after, the Lions earned a powerplay, which Coltan Wilkie cashed in on after some great puck movement. He was assisted by Willis and Joe Prouty on the goal that tied the game 3-3 at the 14:03 mark. Just over 30 seconds later, the Falcons took the lead again, going up 4-3 late in the second period.

The Lions killed off an early Air Force powerplay in the third period, but the Falcons took a 5-3 lead less than five minutes into the period. Air Force was able to hold onto the lead throughout the remainder of the period and earn the series split.
