Field Hockey Blanked by Central Michigan

ST. CHARLES, MO. – The Lindenwood field hockey team fell to Central Michigan University in a 0-6 loss at MICDS on Sunday afternoon.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions were held scoreless by a tough Central Michigan squad, finding limited attacking opportunities throughout the entirety of the game. The goaltending duo of Leah Brozovich and Kyla Cooke came up to make some great saves for Lindenwood at various moments, but unfortunately, Central Michigan found their offensive momentum early and rode it all the way through to the final whistle.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Isabella Shannon, Izzy Folan and Samantha Garden each ripped two shots for the Lions, but weren't able to find the back of the net.

Central Michigan outshout Lindenwood 28-8, putting the pressure on the Lions' defense consistently throughout the game.

Brozovich and Cooke faced 14 shots a piece, with Brozovich making seven total saves and Cooke making three.

UP NEXT
The Lions will turn around and host Appalachian State tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm over at Principia High School.
