ST. CHARLES, MO. - The Lindenwood field hockey team was defeated by Lander in double overtime in Hunter Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions and Bearcats played quite the even game during regulation, with the majority of possession taking place in the middle of the field for the majority of the time.
Lindenwood had the better of the attack, however, really only holding the Bearcats to one quality scoring chance during the first four periods of play. It wasn't until overtime when Lander actually started testing
Kyla Cooke, who held down the fort in between the posts until deep into the second overtime.
The Bearcats were able to squeeze one past the sophomore goalkeeper after a scramble in front of the net, knocking one past after the Lions' tough defensive efforts.
