The Lindenwood women's soccer team (4-6-3, 1-1-2, OVC) played to a scoreless draw with SEMO (5-5-1, 1-1-1 OVC) on Sunday afternoon from Cape Girardeau, Mo.
GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood outshot the Redhawks 9-6 in the opening half, while both teams compiled four shots on goal across the first 45 minutes of play. Both goalkeepers put together a strong half, making four saves each, keeping the game scoreless at halftime.
Jacqueline Baetz led the Lions with two shots on goal in the half, while seven players registered an attempt toward the SEMO net. Lindenwood compiled four corner kicks in the first half but couldn't find the back of the net.
The defense for Lindenwood was strong in the second half as the Lions faced 11 shots, including two which were on goal, but
Sam Blazek made a pair of saves, bringing her total up to six for the game. Â The match remained scoreless throughout the second half, with both teams unable to break the tie, as the game ended in a scoreless draw.
