The Lindenwood men's hockey team (1-7-0) dropped the series finale to American International College (4-2-2, 2-1-0 AHA) by a 5-3 final score on Sunday afternoon in Springfield, Mass.

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood would be faced with some early adversity in the game picking up two penalties in as many minutes.
Caige Sterzer opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal at the 3:40 mark of the first period, for his first goal of the season.
Matt Ladd stopped all 13 AIC shots in the opening frame to hold the Yellow Jackets scoreless.

AIC would score two goals on a five-minute power-play to take a 2-1 lead in the second period. The Lions penalty kill would continue to be a factor offensively in the game as
Ryan Finnegan got behind the Yellow Jackets to score on a shorthanded breakaway and tie the game 2-2 at 14:50 of the period. AIC answered on a late man advantage giving them a 3-2 lead after 40 minutes of play.

Lindenwood opened the third period with a power-play goal twenty-seven seconds into the frame on a goal by
David Gagnon, assisted by
Ryan Finnegan to tie the game again at 3-3. The Yellow Jackets tallied two late goals to make it a 5-3 final score.
