Harding Named OVC Female Cross Country Freshman of the Year

In Lindenwood's first campaign in both Division I and the Ohio Valley Conference, women's cross country freshman Holly Harding was named OVC Female Cross Country Freshman of the Year.

In Harding's first year at Lindenwood, she made quite the statement, being the top finisher for Lindenwood in each of its four meets. The New Zealand native kicked things off placing fourth at the SEMO RedHawk Cross Country Invitational before running a 14:25.27 to place fourth again the following week, this time at the SLU Invitational.

Harding then followed up with running a 19:33.5 5K the following week, leading the Lions at that particular meet as well. The freshman standout most recently a new personal record with her 22:50.4 6K performance at the Bradley Pink Classic last weekend.

You can catch Harding and the rest of the Lindenwood women's cross country team tomorrow, October 29th, running in their first OVC Cross Country Championships in Cookeville, Tennessee, which will kick off at 9:00AM.
