ANDERSON, IND. – On Friday afternoon, the Lindenwood women's and men's cross-country teams traveled to Anderson, Ind., to compete in the We Fly Collegiate XC Challenge.
OVERVIEW
Both respective teams had solid performances in the 5k for the women's and 6k for the men. On the women's side, the Lions raced against two other programs, the Ball State Cardinals, and the Austin Peay Governors. Lindenwood women's cross country had two individuals placed in the top ten in the five-kilometer race and placed second in the team scoring category. On the men's side of the meet the Lions raced against Austin Peay, taking first in team scoring, and had four individuals place in the top five.
TOP WOMEN'S PERFORMANCES
5k –
Kadence Berry placed fifth in her first career meet as a Lion, running a time of 19:36.7.
Holly Harding placed eighth with a time of 19:55.9.
TOP MEN'S PERFORMANCES
6k – Four Lions took the first four spots in the 6k. Ander's Hekkli the pack, placing first with a time of 19:18.0.
William Kaempfe placed second with a time of 19:55.4.
Timothy Maxwell placed third with a time of 20:17.6 and
Luke Talbot placed fourth with a time of 20:35.5.
UP NEXT
The Lions will return to action on Friday, September 22
nd at 3:00 pm to compete in the Bearcat Classic held in Lebanon, Ill.
