The Lindenwood women's hockey team (0-6-0, 0-2-0 CHA) was upended in the series finale by No. 12 Penn State (7-4-1, 2-0-0- CHA) by a score of 7-0 on Saturday afternoon from Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.
GAME OVERVIEW
Penn State opened the scoring at the 13:17 mark of the first period with an even-strength goal and never looked back. The visiting Nittany Lions added a second tally just 15 seconds later to go up by a pair of goals. Penn State carried its two-goal advantage into the first intermission.
The Nittany Lions extended their lead to a six-goal margin after two periods of play after registering four goals during the middle frame.
Penn State added a final goal in the third period to secure the 7-0 victory.
