Field Hockey Falls to IUP in 3-1 Loss

ST. CHARLES, MO. – The Lindenwood field hockey team fell to Indiana University Pennsylvania in a 1-3 loss at neutral site Frostburg State on Tuesday afternoon.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions were down 0-1 going into half after some hard-fought defense against a tough IUP offense. IUP would go on to find the back of the net twice more before the game ended, but Izzy Folan prevented the Hawks from registering the shutout in the final minute of the game. Folan found the back of the net off the assist from Pauline Terwindt after 59:31 minutes of play, showing that the Lions fought to the final whistle, despite the lopsided score.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Folan registered one goal and two of the Lions' three shots of the day. Her sister, Orla Folan, contributed
the other shot for Lindenwood.

Terwindt claimed the lone assist against the Hawks.

Kyla Cooke was in net today for the Lions, recording two saves on nine total shots faced.

UP NEXT
The Lions will return home for a Sunday match at Sportport against Queens University at 11:00am.
