The Lindenwood men's hockey team (4-8-0) heads to Madison, Wis. for a two-game set with the Wisconsin Badgers (4-8-0, 0-6-0 B10). Both games from the Kohl Center this weekend are scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop.

The Lions are coming off their first-ever weekend sweep, defeating Army by scores of 2-1 and 5-3 two weeks ago in West Point, N.Y. Lindenwood now has four wins on the season, which is the most for a first-year program since the 2015-16 Arizona State Sun Devils who had three victories against Division I opponents. Lindenwood has won the most games against Division I opponents since the 2012-13 Penn State Nittany Lions who had 11 wins that season.

Trent Burnham was the story in the series opener, stopping 45 shots on the way to a 2-1 victory. The Eagle Rivers, Alaska native has compiled 40 or more saves in three games this season, two of which have resulted in victories.
Roni Salmenkangas earned the win in game two, making 28 saves. The Lions have now won three out of their last four games, surrendering just 2.5 goals per game.

Lindenwood continues to get production from up and down the lineup as five players have 10 or more points on the year, including
Hunter Johannes, who scored in both games against the Black Knights, with his goal in the opener proving to be the game-winning tally. The Eden Prairie native has seven goals this season, tops on the team.

The defenseman also got involved in the offensive zone as
Caleb Price scored his first two collegiate goals against the Black Knights, with both of them coming on the powerplay. The Lions continue to be lethal on the man advantage this season, converting at a 25 percent clip, which ranks top-15 in the country.

Wisconsin is coming off a series sweep of LIU, defeating the Sharks by scores of 3-2 and 4-3, respectively, improving its record to 4-8-0 on the year.
