The Lions are ranked No. 1 in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Men's Division I Ranking for the ninth straight week, despite having their series against No. 15 Ohio postponed last weekend.
Minot State solidified its No. 2 ranking after sweeping Liberty in a two-game series to improve to 21-2-0. The two losses for the Flames dropped them from the third spot to No. 5 with a 16-7-1 mark. Iowa State was the beneficiary after sweeping No. 12 Illinois in a two-game set to improve to 22-4-2. The Cyclones jumped two spots to the No. 3 position. The University of Nevada – Las Vegas (UNLV) stayed put at No. 4 after having an idle weekend. The Rebels sit at 21-4-0 on the season. The biggest move in the ranking came from Arizona State as the Sun Devils jumped three spots to No. 21.
Lindenwood has had a strange season with eight games canceled or postponed. As a result, the Lions have only played 13 games in the ACHA, winning all of them, and three games against NCAA opponents, falling in each of those contests, for an overall record of 13-3-0.
Lindenwood returns to the ice on the road February 11-12 with a series against No. 9 Missouri State. The Bears have improved from season to season and currently stand at 17-8-3 overall. The puck drops at 7 p.m. both Friday night and Saturday night at the Jordan Valley Ice Park in Springfield, Missouri.
