On Wednesday, the Midwest Independence Conference voted Gayla Griswold into the Performance of the Week slot for her showing at the Gymquarters Invitational last weekend. 

Illinois State's Angelica Labat also received the same number of points for this weekly award, tying Griswold for the title. 

Griswold received a stellar 9.975 score for her vault performance at the GQ Invite and, in doing so, broke the school record in the event. The Louisiana native also achieved a new personal best with this score, even receiving a perfect 10 from one of the judges. This is now Griswold's second MIC weekly award of the season, previously being named Gymnast of the Week on February 2nd of this year.
