The Lindenwood men's lacrosse team rolled to a 13-3 victory over Lynn University in Florida on Friday afternoon.
OVERVIEW
Patrick Kaschalk kicked things off for the Lions with a goal at the 11:40 mark, and
Peter Covington followed suit shortly after, making it 2-0 off the assist from
Cam Smith.
Dylan Colon set Kaschalk up for a man up goal in the last 58 seconds of the first, and the Lions ended the first quarter untouched.
Kaschalk opened up the second quarter scoring first again, propelling the Lions forward 4-0. The Fighting Knights finally got on the board with under ten minutes to go in the second, but the Lions answered back with three more goals-

Keese Zugehoer and Smith each netted one going into halftime.
To start the third, Kaschalk scored in the first 59 seconds. Then,
Nolan Corker tallied his first goal of the day three minutes later. Lynn netted two more goals late in the third period, but the Lions' defense still held strong.
Kyle Hebert performed well in the net, finishing the day at 11 saves and only recording three goals against.
The fourth quarter consisted of another goal from Smith off the assist from Covington.
Adrian Thompson also got on the board from an assist from Zugehoer. Kaschalk netted one more, bringing his grand total to five goals for the day, and
Alex Weis got his first of the game off the assist from
Nick George.
Defensively,
Colin Hunt led the way for the Lions, scooping up five total ground balls, while
Jony Major was close behind with four. Major was also part of a strong day in the faceoff circle, winning 8-10 of his attempted faceoffs.
Michael Miocic also won 8-10 faceoffs for the Lions, bringing the duo's grand total to 16-20.
Oisin McTigue,
Preston Borchardt and
Brian Kallberg forced the Fighting Knights into three turnovers each, putting them atop the leaderboard for Lindenwood in that category.
