The Lindenwood men's tennis team fell in a 1-6 loss to the Missouri Valley Vikings in Marshall, Mo.

The Lions took only one victory in doubles play, when the pairing of Anton de la Puente and Rodrigo Rattes defeated their Viking opponents in a clean 6-0 sweep. 

In singles play, Puente was the lone victor, beating his Missouri Valley opponent in three sets (7-6, 4-6, 6-2). Juan Balbin and Ignacio Mercado also went to three in their matches, but unfortunately were edged by the Vikings. 

Up next, Lindenwood will take on the Maryville Saints in their next GLVC match at 11:00 am on Saturday.
