The roller hockey Gold squad swept the Lions Black squad in a best-of three games match to capture the Great Plains Collegiate Inline Hockey League (GPCIHL) Tournament Championship March 6 at All-American Sports Mall in St. Louis, Missouri.  Gold defeated Black 9-0 in the opening game Sunday evening, then took the second game 11-0 later that night.

Roller hockey Gold is among the six teams that received a bid to the 2022 National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (NCRHA) National Collegiate Roller Hockey Division IV Championships April 8-10 at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan.  The other five squads include Cal State – Fullerton, Michigan State, Slippery Rock, Arizona, and Massachusetts.  Three alternate teams will also be on hand including Farmingdale State College, Northeastern, and Ohio State.

Roller hockey Gold will enter the tournament undefeated with a 15-0 record.  The roller hockey Black squad concluded its season with a collegiate record of 8-2.
