The Lindenwood baseball team (16-10, 5-0 GLVC) earned a 4-3 road win over William Jewell (16-7, 3-2 GLVC) on Friday in Kansas City, Mo.

Lindenwood surrendered a run in the bottom of the first inning to fall behind 1-0. After reaching base to lead off the third inning,
Will Henson came around to score from first base on a double by
Jayce Maag.Â
Sam Kissane and Maag executed the double-steal later in the inning to make it a one-run lead.Â
Kolby Schulte drove in Kissane on a single to right field, giving the Lions a 3-1 lead.

William Jewell cut the Lindenwood lead to one run, after scoring once in the bottom of the fifth. The Lions built the advantage back up after Schulte crossed the plate on a fielding miscue by the Cardinals. William Jewel picked up a run in the bottom of the ninth, but
Logan Katen closed out the game to secure the one-run road victory for the Lions. With the victory, head coach
Doug Bletcher earned his 800th career win as a collegiate head coach.
