The Lindenwood women's lacrosse beat Quincy 23-4 in Hunter Stadium on Friday night.
OVERVIEW
The Lions outscored the Hawks 8-1 in the first period, with
Bridget Considine leading the charge and netting three of those goals.
Hennessey Evans made her offensive mark as well, contributing two goals and two assists, while
Paige Sutton,
Meghan Rea and
Kelsey Long also knocked in one goal apiece.
Lindsey Smith got on the board twice in the second period, making her debut into the game a strong one.
Logann Eldredge,
Emma Arnold and
Chloe Elliott netted their first goals of the game as well, while Rea and Sutton each added another goal to their stat lines.
The Lions started with a 15-1 lead at halftime, with
Eleanor Kast only allowing one goal and not having to make any saves before switching spots with
Haylie Sims. During the third, Smith scored another, while
Natalie Gane put two in the back of the net and
Liz Beckner netted her first.
In the fourth,
Jillian Bingman kickstarted the scoring for the Lions, then
Aleksa Allen,
Sophia DeFrancesco and
Carly Tobias all scored their firsts of the game as well. Other noteworthy performances came from
Kym Ardrey, who led the Lions with three ground balls total, while
Kate MacDonell won a solid seven draw controls, sitting atop the leaderboard for that category.
Alyssa Kneedler had the game-leading two caused turnovers, rounding out the Lions' defense.Â
