The Lindenwood baseball team (26-19, 15-9 GLVC) split Sunday's doubleheader with Rockhurst (16-29, 6-18 GLVC), losing game one 10-3, but winning the second game 15-7 in Kansas City, Mo.

GAME ONE OVERVIEW
Rockhurst took a 3-0 lead after the second inning, as the Lions were able to generate offense in the top of the fourth.Â
Ambrose Russo scored the first run on a groundout, and
Sam Kissane drove in a run on a single to right field.Â
Alex Gauspohl doubled down the left field line to tie the game at 3-3. The Hawks quickly put up three runs in the bottom half of the inning to regain a three-run lead. Lindenwood surrendered four more runs in the fifth inning, as the Hawks earned a 10-3 win in the first game of the doubleheader.

GAME TWO OVERVIEW
The Lions jumped out to a 2-0 lead after
Michael Ward drove in a run on a double, and later scored on a single by
Jack Meyer. Rockhurst responded with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning, and took a 5-2 lead after five innings.Â
Jayce Maag drove in a run in the top of the sixth inning as the Lions brought another run across the plate to make it a one-run game. After the Hawks built the lead to 6-4, the Lions got hot at the plate.

Lindenwood scored the first run of the top of the seventh frame on a fielding error by the Hawks, and Russo hit a three-run bomb to give the Lions an 8-6 advantage.Â
Calvin Nowak drove in Gauspohl on a single up the middle, and got caught in a rundown on the next at bat to allow Maag to increase the lead to four runs.

Russo tallied another RBI on his single in the top of the eight, while Kissane drove in a pair to make it a 14-6 lead for the Lions. Nowak close out the scoring on a sacrifice fly to put the Lions ahead by nine runs. Lindenwood close out the game with a 15-7 victory to close out the final road series of the regular season.
