Lindenwood gymnastics head coach Catelyn Orel has announced the addition of Sam Scherwinski as an assistant coach for the 2023 season.

Scherwinski comes to Lindenwood after spending the previous five seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. While on the staff, Scherwinski helped spot various skills on vault, bars, and floor. He also evaluated athletes' skills and reviewed performance to improve their future routines.

Wisconsin-La Crosse finished third at the NCGA Championships in 2021-22. During his five-year tenure with the Eagles, multiple individuals earned Scholastic All-American Honors, directing them to success on the competition floor and in the classroom.
