ST. CHARLES, MO. - The Lindenwood field hockey team grabbed a big 6-0 road win at American International College in New York on Sunday morning.
"Today was a great team win," said Head Coach
Sarah Baumann. "We did a lot of work yesterday figuring out how we can better connect with and support our teammates on and off the field. It definitely paid off. Our energy on the field and sidelines was really high and we showed great unity on the field."
GAME OVERVIEW
After some back and forth play, the Lions scored first after
Allie Hosto netted one off the assist from
Orla Folan to set the tone early.
Six different goal scorers would make up Lindenwood's dominant offensive performance. After Hosto opened things up,
Mia Simpson knocked in an unassisted goal next.
Pauline Terwindt found the back of the net off Hosto's assist, and shortly after, Folan would net her first goal of the game off the assist from Terwindt.
Rachel Goebel and
Marina Evert also got themselves an unassisted goal a piece, rounding out the team's powerful attacking presence.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

The Lions outshot American International 13-4 throughout the game.
"As coaches we switched up some attacking strategies and we found a lot more success in terms of drawing corners and finishing than we have all season," said Baumann.
