ST CHARLES, MO. - The Lindenwood women's volleyball team fell to Morehead State in a 1-3 loss on Friday night in Kentucky.
The Lions were able to knock one set off the Eagles, winning the second 25-15. Morehead took the first in a 25-20 win, and then went on to win the third 25-18 and squeaked out a 25-22 to take the fourth and final set.
Mackenzi Sifuentes led the way for the Lions offensively, recording 12 total kills and an impressive .440 hitting percentage to cap off the night.
Jessie Seidel held down the fort defensively with a huge 27 digs, setting the tone for the Lions throughout the entire match.
Madilyn Dement was next in line for both categories, recording eight total kills and 17 total digs, proving to be a well-rounded threat for Lindenwood all match long.
Abby VanBuskirk kept things rolling with her team-leading 35 assists, while
Karli Eckert led the way in the receptions with 32 total. Seidel recorded a solid five set assists to lead the Lions in that category.
Up next, Lindenwood will turn around for a rematch with the Eagles tomorrow at 2:00 PM EST in Morehead, Kentucky.
