The Lindenwood men's hockey team (5-13-0) heads to Grand Forks, N.D. for a two-game series with the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks (7-8-4, 3-5-2 NCHC). Game one on Friday will begin at 7:07 p.m., while the series finale on Saturday is set for 6:07 p.m.

The Lions are coming off a series split against the University of Vermont last weekend. After falling in game one, 4-2, Lindenwood bounced back, earning a 3-2 overtime win in game two. The victory marked the first win over a team outside of Atlantic Hockey for Lindenwood this season.

David Gagnon scored the game-winning goal last Saturday, which was his second point of the contest. It was the first points in four games for the Halifax, Nova Scotia native who leads the team in that category with 18. He also paces the squad in assists with 11.

Five different players found the back of the net against the Catamounts, continuing the balanced attack. Lindenwood boasts five players who have scored at least five goals on the year (Johannes, Gagnon, Willis, DeStefani, Finnegan).
Cade DeStefani has registered points in seven of his last nine games.

Trent Burnham has been between the pipes for four of Lindenwood's five victories. The Eagle Rivers, Alaska native stopped 35 shots in game two and has compiled 30 or more saves in each start this season. The sophomore netminder leads the team in saves (382), save percentage (.912), and goals against average (3.91).

Rick Zombo is no stranger to the North Dakota program as he played there from 1981-84. While in college, Zombo was a three-time letter winner on defense. He won an NCAA national championship in his freshman season and earned a spot on the United Sate National Team at the World Junior Hockey Championships during his sophomore season. He served as captain of the Fighting Sioux in his junior season and totaled 63 points in his college career at North Dakota.
