MOREHEAD, KY. – On Sunday, the Lindenwood women's soccer team took on Morehead State in a well anticipated OVC matchup. The Lions would fall to the Eagles 2-0 after giving up two second-half goals.
MATCH OVERVIEW
Both teams were held scoreless in the first half, with
Jordan Hollingsworth being a key reason why the Eagles were held off the board. Hollingsworth made four saves in the first frame for the Lions. The Lions had three shots in the first half while the Eagles had ten shots. The Eagles also led in corners with one.
Three minutes into the second half, the Eagles would break the scoreless drought by both teams, leading 1-0 up to this point in the match. The Eagles would score an assisted goal thirty minutes later, to secure the victory. Hollingsworth made three saves in the half for the Lions, and the Lions would be held shotless in this frame.
