Field Hockey Falls 3-0 to Lock Haven on Senior Day

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. –  On Saturday afternoon, the Lindenwood field hockey team took on Lock Haven for Senior Day. The Lions would fall short, falling to the Bald Eagles 3-0.

MATCH OVERVIEW
In the first half, both teams were set at a standstill, with both teams being held off the scoring column. The Lions had the advantage going into the second half, having seven shots while the Bald Eagles had five. The Lions trailed in penalty corners with three, while Lock Haven had four.

Two minutes into the third period, the Bald Eagles would find the back of the net off a fast break. Nine minutes later, the Bald Eagles would score off the penalty corner, leading 2-0, going into the final frame. Four minutes into the fourth period, the Bald Eagles would score one last time off the penalty corner, to extend their lead to three.

Yamilet Bravo-Ayala started in net for the Lions. Kyla Cooke and Leah Brozovich also spent time in the net. Ayala, Cooke, and Brozovich made 13 combined stops, off three goals against. After the match, the Lions would move to 3-9 on the season.

The Lions will take on Holy Cross on Friday October 27th at 3:00 PM Local Time. The match will be held in Worcester, Mass.
