Two meets in and Elliott Irwin has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Men's Peak Swimmer of the Week, twice. The Lions competed against the University of South Dakota in Lawrence, Kansas, at the University of Kansas.
Irwin, a native of Canberra, Australia, earned first place in several events, team and individual. On the team side, he along with Piotr Kowalczyk, Johan Cue Carrillo and Trevor Danner won first in the 200-yard medley, with a time of 1:30.80.
He recorded individual first-place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke, with a time of 51.03 and the 50-yard freestyle in 21.15. This serves as Irwin's second peak performance award for the season and fourth career.
Lindenwood defeated South Dakota 226-125, improving to 2-0 on the season. The Lions will compete on Friday, October 27th at 3:00 p.m. in St. Louis.
