Roller hockey swept two games against Bethel (Tenn.) in Midwest Collegiate Roller Hockey League (MCRHL) action, stopping the Wildcats 6-3 on Saturday, and shutting them out 6-0 on Sunday at All-American Sports Mall in St. Louis.

In the opener, the Lions jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first period.
Nathan Durrans scored at 4:03 off a feed from Jackson Wozniak, then
Parker Winkelmann sounded the horn just over a minute later with help from
Clayton Liefeld. Lindenwood was on the penalty kill after a slashing call, but
Christian Acosta took control of the puck and passed to Wozniak for a short-handed goal at 7:24.
After Bethel broke the shutout in the early moments of the middle period, Wozniak scored his second of the game unassisted at 1:33, then Liefeld netted a shot just over a minute later off an assist from Landon Kooker and the Lions led 5-1.
In the third, Durrans set up Winkelmann at 4:51 to give Lindenwood a 6-1 advantage. The Wildcats managed to score two late goals in the final minute of regulation for the final margin.
The Lions outshot Bethel 26-16 and Marky Hager stopped 13 of the 16 shots he faced. With a two goal, one assist performance, Wozniak earned Star No. 1 honors. Winkelmann was named Star No. 2 with two goals, and Durrans received Star No. 3 recognition with a goal and assist.
In the finale on Sunday, after a scoreless first period, Lindenwood took control with four goals in the second and another two in the third.
Brett Worster opened the Lions scoring at 5:42, assisted by Acosta, then Wozniak hit the back of the net unassisted at 9:34. Winkelmann set up Kooker at 10:37, then helped Bryce Pierce at 11:05.
Winkelmann then used his own blade to sound the horn at 1:51 of the third on a play set up by Wozniak, and Wozniak accounted for the final goal of the game off a pass from Liefeld with 10-seconds remaining.
Lindenwood outshot Bethel 24 to 11 and Chase Christopher stopped all 11 shots he faced to earn the victory. Wozniak earned Star No. 1 honors once again with two goals and an assist, Winkelmann was named Star No. 2 with a goal and two assists, and Christopher was named Star No. 3 with his shutout effort in goal.
The Lions begin the season 2-0. They return to conference action in the MCRHL November 18-19 at Midwest Sport Hockey in Ballwin, Missouri.
