Roller hockey won all for games it played at the Midwest Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (MCRHA) Inter-Regional February 3-4 at the Salt Creek Sports Center in Palatine, Illinois. The Lions stopped the Slippery Rock D2 squad 7-2, defeated Bethel (Tenn.) University D1 10-1, and shutout Arizona State D1 8-0 on Saturday, then beat Henry Ford Community College 12-1 on Sunday.
In the weekend opener, Lindenwood scored twice against the Rock in the first period.
Nathan Durrans and
Parker Winkelmann set up
Bryce Pierce at 4:11, then
Jack Wedoski scored off a feed from Durrans at 11:49.

Wedoski sounded the horn again just 30-seconds into the second on a pass from
Jackson Wozniak to give the Lions a 3-0 lead. A Lindenwood interference penalty led to a Slippery Rock power play goal midway through the period, but Winkelmann offset that with an even-strength effort with 1:42 remaining, assisted by Pierce and Bryce Worster.
Lindenwood pulled away in the third. Wozniak made it 5-1 on an unassisted play, then Durrans made it 6-1 on a play set up by Winkelmann and Wozniak, and Worster scored the seventh goal of the game for the Lions with help from Winkelmann. The Rock beat the buzzer with a power play goal with one-second left in regulation for the final margin.
Lindenwood outshot Slippery Rock 28-17 and
Marky Hager stopped 15 of the 17 shots he faced to get the win in goal. Winkelmann earned Star No. 1 honors with a goal and three assists, Wozniak was named Star No. 2 with a goal and two assists, and Durrans received Star No. 3 recognition with a goal and two assists.
A huge third period gave the Lions a big victory over the Wildcats. After posting two in the first and one in the second, Lindenwood added seven in the third. After a Winkelmann unassisted goal,
Landon Kooker made it 2-0 for the Lions at 9:34.
Connor Bradley scored on a power play early in the second with help from
Christian Acosta and Durrans, but the Wildcats followed over a minute later with their only goal of the contest.
Winkelmann, Durrans,
Bennett Blake, and Wozniak hit the back of the cage at even-strength in the third before three straight power play goals, the first coming from Wozniak before Durrans went back-to-back.
Lindenwood outshot Bethel 29-13 and
Chase Christopher made 12 saves on the 13 shots he faced. Durrans earned Star No. 1 honors with a hat trick and three assists, Wozniak received Star No. 2 recognition with two goals and three assists, and Winkelmann was named Star No. 3 with two goals and an assist.
The Lions controlled their final game of the day against the Sun Devils from start to finish, scoring three in the opening period, three in the second, and two in the third, while holding ASU scoreless. Bennett and Wozniak each netted two, while Durrans, Winkelmann, Worster, and Kooker each had one goal. Dylan Sullivan had three assists while Acosta had two to help the Lindenwood cause.
The Lions outshot the Sun Devils 28-13 and Hager earned the shutout victory. Worster was named Star No. 1 with a goal and two assists, Bennett earned Star No. 2 honors with two goals, and Wozniak received Star No. 3 recognition with two goals.
In the final game of the weekend, Lindenwood cruised past the Hawks, despite giving up the first goal and trailing three minutes into the contest. After the initial deficit, the Lions rattled off the next 12 in a row. Everyone in the line-up earned at least one point, led by Worster with five points on a hat trick and two assists.
Lindenwood outshot Henry Ford 33-6 and Christopher stopped five of the six shots he saw. Worster earned Star No. 1 honors for his offensive efforts, Bradley was named Star No. 2 with two goals and two assists, and Durrans received Star No. 3 recognition with a goal and three assists.
With the four wins, the Lions improved to 14-0 on the season. They return to the rink for the MCRHA Conference Championships February 24-25 at Midwest Sport Hockey in Ballwin, Missouri.
