MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. -- On Sunday, the Lindenwood field hockey team took on #19 ranked VCU. The Lions would fall 6-0.

MATCH OVERVIEW
The Rams would strike early to get the scoring started in the fifth minute of the game. The Rams would score twice before the end of the period. Strong defense by the Rams would keep the Lions scoreless, as well as shot-less in the first period. The Lions would trail 3-0, going into the second period. In the second period, both teams were held scoreless. The Lions would have one shot in the period while the Rams would have seven shots. Going into halftime, the Lions would trail 3-0.

Twelve minutes into the third period, the Rams would find the back of the net for their only goal in the period. The Rams would keep the Lions shot-less in this period, while taking eight shots of their own. The Lions would trail 4-0 going into the final frame. In the final period, the Rams would score twice, extending their lead to 6-0.

Leah Brozovich started in net for Lions making seventeen saves. After this matchup, the Lions would move to 3-7 on the season.
