Women's Ice Hockey Hosts Penn State

ST. CHARLES, MO. – The Lindenwood women's ice hockey team will return home after a four-game road slate, taking on #17 Penn State on Friday, November 3rd and Saturday, November 4th.  Friday's game will take place at 6:00 PM and Saturday's game will be at 5:40 PM. All games will be held at Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.

The Lions are currently 4-6-0 on the season, and 1-1-0 in conference. The Black and Gold split a two-game series against RIT in their most recent matchups, winning the first game 6-3 and losing the second game, 6-2. Morgan Neitzke leads the Lions as well as the CHA in points with 14. Neitzke also leads the CHA in goals with eight. Sarah Davies is second on the team in points with nine, coming from three goals and six assists. Natalie Ferenc has made nine appearances for the Lions, making 276 saves on 40 goals against.

The Lions are looking to sweep the Nittany Lions, to sit at 6-6-0 on the season, and 3-1-0 in conference.

This will be the 53rd time both teams will match up against each other. In the last matchup against Penn State, the Black and Gold fell 7-1. Historically, Lindenwood is 16-30-6 against Penn State. Penn State is currently 3-6-1 on the season, and 2-0-0 in conference, sweeping Syracuse in a two-game series in their most recent matchups. Tessa Janecke leads Penn State in points with seven, and Julie Gough is second on the team in points with six. Josie Bothun started all ten games for Penn State. Bothun on the year has made 246 saves on 26 goals against.
