The second contest between the Lions and Nittany Lions ended in favor of the #19 Penn State, 7-1.
Head Coach Rick Zombo stated, "My youngest player had six periods of great hockey. Ethan Zielke had a valuable weekend proving he can play against one of the top teams in the nation."
The first period was a great contest between the two teams. PSU scored first; however, LU responded a little over a minute later. Ethan Zielke scored with an assist from Joe Prouty.
Penn State scored four goals in the second period and two in the final period.
Matthew Syverson played all 60:00 for the Lions. He recorded 41 saves while allowing seven goals.
Lindenwood will travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan, to face #10 Western Michigan University on December 1st and 2nd. Puck drop on Friday is slated for 6:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Saturday.
