ST. CHARLES, MO. - The Lindenwood gymnastics team took second with a score of 193.675 in a tri-meet against SEMO and Fisk on Friday evening in Cape Girardeau.

INSIDE THE SCORES

• Gayla Griswold had an impressive showing at today's tri-meet, highlighted by her event-winning 9.900 floor performance. This is a season-high for the senior in the event as well. 
• Griswold also led the way on vault today with her 9.850 score alongside Allie Berkley, who found herself atop the leaderboard on vault for a second week in a row with her 9.850. 
• Nya Kraus had another fantastic outing this meet, winning beam with her 9.850 performance. Kraus was joined by Jaly Jones on the top half of Lindenwood's leaderboard in the event, with Jones posting the Lions' next highest score with her 9.800. 
• The bars squad was led by Hannah Appleget, who posted a team-high 9.850 in the event. The sophomore had another well-rounded meet, hitting a 9.700 on beam and a 9.575 on floor. 
• The Lions' strongest event as a team was the vault with their 49.000 score. No girl scored lower than a 9.700 in the event, making for an incredibly powerful lineup this meet.

The Lions will be back in Hyland Arena on February 17 for a Friday night matchup with Iowa State starting at 7:00 p.m.
