ST. CHARLES, MO. - The Lindenwood softball team defeated Western Michigan in a thrilling 1-0 game on the final day of the ULM "Best on the Bayou" tournament in Monroe, Louisiana. 

Mya Bethany was the Lions' lone scorer in today's game, bringing it home in the third inning to break both teams' scoring droughts. 

The visiting Lions tallied five total hits today with zero errors as opposed to Western Michigan's five hits and two errors. 

The Lions' "OVC Player to Watch" selection Amanda Weyh was credited with the win today from the mound, throwing 58 strikes on 78 pitches. The fifth year senior threw a complete game, earning the well-deserved shutout for the Lions. 

Lindenwood earned their first Division I victory in program history with today's win. 

The Lions will head to their next tournament at Alabama-Birmingham that starts on Friday, February 17 starting at 11:00 a.m. against Belmont.
