ST. CHARLES, MO. --Despite picking up six hits in the ballgame and out-hitting UAB, the Lindenwood softball team was unable to push across more runs, as the Lions lost to the Blazers 3-2 on Friday.

Senior Amanda Weyh (1-2) started and took the loss in the circle for Lindenwood (1-5). The right-hander went six innings, giving up three runs, two earned, on three hits, allowing three walks and striking out two.

Junior Karli Goocher led the way offensively for the Lions, going 1-for-1 in the ballgame with a double and two RBI.

Trailing 3-0, the Lions first put runs on the board in the seventh inning. Lindenwood scored twice on a two-run double off the bat of Goocher. The ballgame ended with that seventh inning rally falling short.
