The Lindenwood men's hockey team (7-17-0) heads to Tempe, Ariz. for a two-game series with Arizona State (13-18-0) this weekend. Both gamed from Mullett Arena are scheduled for 8:00 p.m.CT starts.

The Lions are coming off a series sweep of Stonehill in their final set of home games this season. Lindenwood defeated the Skyhawks by scores of 5-2 and 10-3, respectively to close out the home slate with a 3-1-0 record. This is the second series sweep of the year for the Lions as they also downed Army in a pair of games in early November.

Lindenwood shared the wealth offensively against Stonehill as 10 different players recorded multi-point games in the series finale.
David Gagnon and
Hunter Johannes led the way with five points apiece in the two games. Gagnon, a sophomore forward leads the team with 28 points and is averaging 1.17 PPG, which ranks 21st in the country.

Johannes dished out four assists in game two after lighting the lamp to open the series. The Eden Prairie, Minn. native has made an immediate impact since coming over from AIC. He is tied with Gagnon for the team lead in goals and sits just behind him with 24 points.

The Lions continue to get production from its blue line as Lindenwood defenseman registered 12 points in the series against the Skyhawks. Four defensemen have nine or more points on the year, led by
Joe Prouty who has 11,

After three more scores on the powerplay this weekend, Lindenwood is converting at a 21.6 percent clip while on the man advantage, which ranks top-25 nationally. The Lions have found the back of the net on the powerplay in all seven of their wins this season.

Matt Ladd split time between the pipes this weekend, each picking up a win. All three Lindenwood netminders, which includes
Roni Salmenkangas have started at least five games for the Lions, while each of the trio has at least one win on the year.
