ST. CHARLES, MO. - The Lindenwood gymnastics team was edged in a close dual meet against Iowa State by a final score of 194.800 on Friday night in Hyland Arena.

INSIDE THE SCORES

• The Lions best event of the night was the floor exercise with a team score of 48.950. Two Lions reached a new personal best in the event, with Jaly Jones hitting a 9.850 and Hannah Appleget with her 9.825. 
• Savannah Newsome was another Lion to achieve a new personal best with her performance, reaching an impressive 9.775 on the uneven bars. 
• Jaly Jones had a strong night back in the all-around category, compiling scores of 9.675 on vault, 9.775 on bars, 8.950 on beam and 9.850 on floor exercise. 
• Hannah Appleget won the uneven bars title tonight with her 9.850 score, taking first in the event for both the Lions and the meet overall.
• Jaly Jones and Gayla Griswold each took second on the floor exercise overall tonight.
