On Tuesday, the Midwest Independent Volleyball Association announced that Connor Sheehan was named the Defensive Player of the Week following a pair of fantastic performances against McKendree and Lewis last week. 

Sheehan earned his Defensive Player of the Week award after playing a huge part in Lindenwood's undefeated weekend of conference play. The junior setter tallied 21 total digs and eight total blocks, averaging a solid 2.33 digs per set and 0.89 blocks per set.

Along with his impressive defensive stats, Sheehan contributed 84 total set assists this weekend while also adding two kills and two aces to his stat line. 

This is the first time in Sheehan's career winning a MIVA weekly award. 

This week, Sheehan and the rest of the Lindenwood men's volleyball team will be back in action this Friday night at 7:00 p.m. against Ball State in Hyland Arena.
